Betting structures
No-Limit
Players may bet any amount up to their entire stack at any time. The dominant structure in modern tournaments and most online cash games.
Pot-Limit
The maximum bet is the current size of the pot. Common in Omaha, where hand values run closer together than in Hold'em.
Fixed-Limit
Bets and raises are set at fixed increments per betting round. Slower-paced and popular in stud variants.
